These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Deen Mate app, website, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by the Deen Mate team ("we", "us"). By accessing the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher).
• You must have legal capacity to enter into a contract.
• You must not be banned from a previous Deen Mate account or barred by applicable law.

2. Your account

• Provide accurate, up-to-date information when registering.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• Enable 2-Factor Authentication where possible. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
• One person per account. Do not share accounts or sell/transfer them.
• Impersonating scholars, organisations, celebrities or other users is prohibited.

3. Acceptable use

Deen Mate is an Islamic community. To keep it safe and beneficial for the Ummah, you agree not to post, upload, share or transmit content that:

• Violates Islamic values — nudity, pornography, gambling, riba/interest-promotion, hate against any people, alcohol/drug promotion, or promotion of shirk and open kufr;
• Attacks, harasses, threatens, or defames any brother or sister;
• Promotes violence, terrorism, or extremist ideologies;
• Contains child sexual abuse material — zero tolerance, immediate ban and report to authorities;
• Is fraudulent, misleading, or a scam (including fake blood requests, fake charity appeals, or fake donation links);
• Infringes the copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights of any person;
• Contains malware, phishing links, or exploits any technical vulnerability;
• Constitutes spam, unsolicited advertising, mass messaging or automated scraping;
• Reveals another person's private information without consent (doxxing).

Uploaded images and text are automatically scanned by our NSFW / text guard before publication. Content that fails the scan is blocked and repeat offences may result in suspension.

4. Content ownership and licence

• You keep full ownership of the content you post (posts, photos, comments, messages, blood requests, etc.).
• You grant Deen Mate a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (only for formatting/thumbnails) and display your content within the Service, solely to operate and improve the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or the account.
• Public posts may be visible to other users and, if you set the visibility to "Public", may be indexed by search engines.
• Feedback and suggestions you send us may be used without obligation or compensation.

5. Community moderation

• We may — at our sole discretion and without prior notice — remove content, hide comments, restrict features, suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms or Islamic community norms.
• Egregious violations (CSAM, incitement, doxxing) result in an immediate permanent ban.
• You may report abusive content or users from any post or profile; reports are reviewed by human moderators.
• Appeals can be sent to [email protected] within 30 days of a moderation action.

6. Messaging, voice and video calls

• Private messages and calls are intended only for the parties involved. Do not record, screenshot, or share private conversations without explicit consent from the other party.
• You must respect Islamic adab in all interactions — no free-mixing chatter, no inappropriate images, no vulgar language.
• We store call metadata (start, end, duration, missed/declined status) for delivery and history; message content is only visible to the participants.

7. Blood donation feature

• Listing yourself as a donor is voluntary. You can hide, pause or delete your listing at any time.
• Deen Mate is a connector , not a medical service — always confirm eligibility, blood group and health status with a licensed medical facility before donating or receiving blood.
• Do not misuse the feature (fake requests, harassment of donors, commercial blood trade). Violations lead to permanent ban and, where required, reporting to authorities.

8. Islamic content disclaimer

Prayer times, Qibla direction, Hijri calendar, Qur'an translations, Hadith texts, Dua, Zakat calculations and 99 Names are provided as guidance for personal ibadah. We source from widely accepted scholarly works and reputable data providers, but errors are always possible. For fiqh rulings and any decision with religious or legal impact, please consult a qualified local scholar.

9. Third-party services and links

The Service may link to or embed third-party content (map tiles, Qur'an audio, translations, mosque data, push providers, etc.). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or content of those third parties.

10. Fees, donations and payments

Core features of Deen Mate are free. If we offer optional paid features, donation channels or premium tiers in the future, the pricing and refund policy will be shown clearly at the point of purchase. All payments are handled by regulated third-party processors; we never store full card numbers.

11. Termination

• You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings.
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if the Service is discontinued.
• On termination, your public content is removed from the app; personal data is deleted per the Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. Ibadah content is guidance only, not a fatwa.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deen Mate and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Deen Mate and its team from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, unless mandatory local consumer protection law of your country of residence applies. Disputes will first be attempted to be resolved amicably by writing to [email protected]. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, subject to any mandatory jurisdiction of your local law.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app with a banner and, where required, by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Miscellaneous

• If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
• Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
• You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor entity.
