Deen Mate ("we", "us") is operated as part of the DeenMate platform. We care deeply about your privacy and treat your data as an amanah.

1. What we collect

• Account info: name, email, username, password (hashed with bcrypt).
• Profile data you choose to share: bio, photo, location, gender, etc.
• Content you post: posts, comments, reactions, messages.
• Device & security signals: IP, browser fingerprint, login attempts — used only for fraud prevention and rate-limiting.
• Optional location: used for prayer times and Qibla — never shared.

2. What we never do

• We never sell or rent your data to third parties.
• We never share your private messages or private profile fields.
• We don't run ad-tracking pixels on ibadah features (prayer, Quran, tasbih).

3. Your controls

You can edit, hide or delete any profile field at any time from Settings → Profile visibility. Account deletion permanently removes your data within 30 days.

4. Cookies & storage

We use cookies and localStorage for authentication, preferences and offline Quran caching. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Security

Passwords are bcrypt-hashed. 2FA via email or Google Authenticator is available. All traffic is encrypted with TLS. We rate-limit and fingerprint suspicious activity.

6. Children

Deen Mate is not directed to children under 13. Accounts found in violation will be removed.
