These are the Community Rules of Deen Mate — a platform whose every rule rests on the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah. They apply to every member, and our moderators enforce them with fairness and consistency.
1. Our Foundation — the Qur'an and Sunnah
Every rule on this page rests on the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The believers are like one body — when one part suffers, the whole body shares the pain.
- The whole Ummah is one body; when one member is harmed, we all feel it.
- Our rules are drawn from the Qur'an and authentic hadith, understood through the scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah.
- Where scholars differ on a matter, we respect the difference and never force a single opinion on the community.
2. Faith (Aqidah)
Deen Mate is a platform for Muslims and for anyone sincerely seeking the truth. Our community upholds sound aqidah and rejects whatever contradicts it.
- No shirk — do not associate partners with Allah, nor promote such beliefs in any form.
- No promotion of kufr or bid'ah; never present innovations as if they were part of the religion.
- No sectarian fitnah and no takfir — never declare a specific individual a disbeliever.

3. Adab and Character
Good character is half of faith; the Prophet (peace be upon him) was sent to perfect noble manners, and our conduct online must reflect that.
- Respect every member, even when you disagree with them.
- Speak gently and say only what is best — 'And tell My servants to say that which is best' (Surah Al-Isra 17:53).
- Lower your gaze and keep all interactions appropriate and modest.
- No insults, mockery, humiliation or personal attacks.
- Forgive others as you hope Allah will forgive you.
4. Forbidden Content
Deen Mate is a safe space aligned with Islamic values. Content that contradicts the commands of Allah is not permitted, and our NSFW guard screens uploads automatically.
- No nudity, indecency or sexually explicit content in any form.
- No promotion of riba (interest), gambling, or music as the primary focus of a page or feed.
- No alcohol, drugs or other intoxicants, and no sorcery, fortune-telling or divination.
- No promotion of sin or encouragement of disobedience to Allah; the NSFW guard applies to all uploads.
5. Social Conduct
Islam commands us to guard our tongues and protect the honour of others. What you say about a brother or sister will be asked about on the Day of Judgement.
- No backbiting (ghibah) — do not speak about a person in their absence in a way they would dislike.
- No slander, false accusations, doxxing or defamation of any member.
- No harassment, stalking or bullying — report harmful behaviour instead of retaliating.
- Be honest in blood donation listings and charity appeals; never misrepresent your needs or your giving.
6. Messaging and Calls
Private conversations carry the same adab as public ones; the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said that a Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand others are safe.
- Keep all messages and calls within Islamic adab — no flirtation or free-mixing chat between unrelated men and women.
- Never record a call or screenshot a private conversation without the other person's consent.
- Respect the privacy of others — do not share private messages with third parties.
7. AI Assistant
Our AI assistant is a helpful guide, not a scholar and not a source of religious rulings. It may get things wrong, so verify what matters.
- AI answers are guidance only and are never a fatwa; for rulings, ask a qualified scholar.
- Never rely on the AI for medical, legal or fiqh decisions that affect your life or health.
- Report obviously wrong or harmful AI answers so we can improve the assistant.
8. Moderation and Enforcement
Our moderators act to keep the community safe and within Islamic bounds. Enforcement is proportional, fair and consistent.
- Minor violations bring a warning; repeated violations bring a temporary suspension and finally a permanent ban.
- Egregious violations — child sexual abuse material, incitement to violence, or doxxing — result in an immediate permanent ban and reporting to the relevant authorities.
9. Appeals
If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you may appeal it within 30 days by emailing [email protected].
